Guangzhou travel day

Well another Ground Hog day here in Chongqing. Breakfast went better than it has. Aric actually will cry out if you don't get him his food fast enough and he will eat off other's plates - those two things had improved by the end today. Yea!

We got his passport and a picture album from CAB. Had to make a quick run to the grocery store for some more "jellies" a candy that they both love and we are hoping to bring some back for the other kiddos.

We had a quick bite to eat after going thru security. (thomas the tank always requires a second run thru security) We ate at a place called Flavor Tang. We had to point at the pictures cause of course we can't read Chinese and they don't speak English that well. We both chose well!!

The flight was a little turbulent but really not bad. We met our new guide and off to Shamian Island and the Victory. We love this area - it is so beautiful and also love the room. It is big. :)

We walked to Lucy's and ate dinner outside - it was wonderful.

Getting ready to go to meet for the Medical Checkup and Visa.

Joy, we are going to stay at the Victory also!!! You'll have to tell me all about it!!! How is the weather in Guangzhou? It won't be long now and you will be on your way home. And not too long, we will be on our way!!!!

Hi - we're going to stay at the Victory too (I'm in the same travel group as 'sierrasmom'. Hope you can share more with us about it.

Do you mind if I ask, are you in a business room or suite?

Thanks!
Carolin

Flavor Tang!!! We ate there in Beijing. The beef with peppers was the best. The shrimp was lousy.

Enjoy Guangzhou - It is the time to relax before you come home and your life gets completely crazy.

Hi Guys,

We are staying in the Victory West - these rooms have recently been updated and are large. Two double beds with a sitting area and the free computer I am typing on now. :) We really like it.
The weather is nice, not humid very Spring like - very nice!

Great location too, it is close to everything. Near the building for the Medical check up. Really though it is all within walking distance.

The breakfast was fine, not as good as the Marriot in Chongqing - but still ok.

There is a "faucet" in the bathroom with a picture of a cup on it - separate from the regular faucet. There is some debate as to if you can drink it or use it to brush your teeth. We have been brusing our teeth with it. Our guide says it is ok - if this changes I'll let you know.

We asked for a room with 2 beds so I don't know if this is a business room or not. I am pretty sure it is not a suite.
